Cisco Vpn Client Not Working With Windows 8.1

Working 100% Thanks a lot. Thanks dude. If you are on Windows 8, next, download and install the latest DNE: For 32 bit OS: ftp://files.citrix.com/dneupdate.msi for 32-bit (If on an internal Citrix network, please use ftp://ftpsupport.citrix.com/dneupdate.msi ) For 64 I haven't tried to go through these steps again yet, however. http://zenlinux.org/cisco-vpn/cisco-vpn-client-not-working-on-windows-8-1.html

Brilliant! However, regardless whether I use version 5.07.0440 or 5.07.0290 on connecting it takes 20 seconds and the message ‘error 412, remote peer is not responding' appears. Sometimes I have seen that two different VPN clients on the same PC will not coexist. Then confirm the registry key is still good.

Dns resolution works fine on a win7 32bit client so i know the dns servers themselves are working Reply nut285 says August 6, 2015 at 12:47 am It works..Thank you Reply Brilliant, had to do the registry entry to get it to work. Reply Peter Forbes says: January 9, 2016 at 3:44 AM I have used this before the update 4 of windows 10 and had to use it again after the service pack. August 21, 2015 at 8:27 PM Anonymous said...

Almost sounds like you don't have permissions to make registry changes. Reply Ivalberto says June 17, 2014 at 10:03 am It isn't work to me, what else can do i?

How to solve this? http://zenlinux.org/cisco-vpn/cisco-vpn-client-download-windows-10.html See if any one of these reads Cisco VPN adapter in its description. I would have never figured this out, so thanks! Cisco is trying to lead everyone to use the AnyConnect VPN client.

To prevent a standard (albeit older) piece of software from functioning ought to have been a deal-killer. September 24, 2015 at 11:52 AM Anonymous said... I have been able to install the program, but am running up against the following error message when I try to connect: "Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. They kept asking, I kept saying no, so they finally asked me to stop them, then installed it as an update. After trying all things (reinstall VPN client, enabling/disabling virtual adapter, repairing virtual adapter) this was the only thing that solved the issue. Just FYI client exe was for windows7/vista. The last published version from Cisco was, which was the first version they stated would work with Windows 7 64bit. good luck. The only problem I had was when installing the SonicWall Client I got the message -"Unable to manage networking component.

This fix worked perfectly - thanks so much for posting! I've been modifying my local host file like crazy to keep up with work servers lol. If the value is showing as 8, set it to 14. 4. The likely reason was apparently due to the DNE LightWeight Filter network client not being properly installed by the Cisco Systems VPN installer. Reply Ronald says: October 3, 2015 at 10:21 PM Thanks a lot! The PCF files are not removed when you uninstall.

Plus it flat out didn't work right anyway. One of the Local Area Connections should have a description that has Cisco in it. Then Step 5 - Make changes in registry. Reply Aiakos says: September 1, 2015 at 8:28 PM Thank you so much!
