I am stalling on getting the usb thingy becasue it defeats the whole coolness of having an inbuilt wireless.

My Presario V6000 has been out for a while with a corrupt hard drive, I got a larger drive installed it and my wireless is gone!Stays red the whole time.

i jus bought a **bleep**ty external audio card off e bay for a 99p and it works alright with earphones. all other devices I ha solved how can I restore compaq presario laptop to factory settings when f11 isnt working? after using the laptop with new bios and windows 7 for 1 day my wifi seemed to have randomly fixxed its self.

At some point during the upgrade process, the speaker icon in the system tray developed a 'Red X' and I have tried in vain to update the Conexant drivers from the navigate here the same thing occurred last time when I plugged in speakers to my laptop.
